About the challenge

LionHacks is Stratford Preparatory’s second ever online hackathon! In this challenge, high school programmers have week to develop a project, outperforming other submissions and wowing our judges in order to claim the prize. Programmers of all different skill levels are welcomed, so no coding experience is required. In fact, we encourage that more novice programmers participate in our challenge to gain experience and dive into the exciting world of hackathons.

Get started

To get started, plan and develop your project, using any programming language you like. Make sure to create a GitHub repository and regularly commit to maintain integrity in submissions and help the judges see your development progress. Finally, make sure to join the Discord server (on the right side) to be notified whenever there are updates.

Requirements

What to Build

Participants can create any project centered around the given theme as long as it fits the judging criteria and rules. As a general guideline, the project does not need to be extremely complex, but keep in mind that a simple button on a webpage is unlikely to be favored by the judges.

What to Submit

Code: All code must be submitted through a public GitHub repository link.

Demo (required): Submit a demo for your project, such as a link to a website or a download, to allow the judges to more closely examine your project.

Presentation (optional): Include a slideshow showcasing your project, showing its features as well as giving a overview of the development process (ex: what technologies were used, challenges encountered, etc.). Alternatively, you may submit a video (<7 minutes in length) featuring the same content as the slideshow in addition to any voiceovers or animations that you may wish to add.
